Detailed description of Hanover Country Club
Hanover Country Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Jacobstown, New Jersey. The course is just 8 miles from Six Flags Great Adventure and 10 miles from Exit 7 on the New Jersey Turnpike.
The course first opened for play in 1962. Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed the back nine holes.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6,730 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,550 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 620 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 18, a 620 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 7, a 150 yard par-3.

Staff in pro shop congenial. The starter needs to take a customer service course. Definitely not the kind of person you want to have start your round....made comments that were uncalled for.

Was very surprised the course was in as good as shape as it was, have played here before and usually by this time some fairways and greens have been beaten on. Have always liked the layout here despite conditions not always being optimal.
